Tompkins Square Bagels, the iconic bagel shop that has landed on numerous Top 10 lists (including ours!), opened their third location last week, as reported by EV Grieve and The Bagel Ambassador himself.
Owner Chris Pugliese says their new Union Square location is “for New York,” and recalls how a chance encounter with saxophonist Utril (@iamyoungnomadic) during the depths of the pandemic inspired him to open the 3rd location. |

National Beer Day (4/7) - We're still thinking about the Evil Twin x Utopia Bagels collab from BagelFest 2022. If eating bagels isn't enough and you also want to drink them, be on the lookout for more limited releases from Evil Twin, which has previously released THREE bagel-themed beers: 1) It's "baconeggncheese", not "bacon, egg, and cheese," 2) Greenhouse rye bagel pilsner conditioned on American oak foudre, and, of course, 3) blueberry french toast bagel.
National Sibling Day (4/10) - .Did you know the owners of Tompkins Square Bagels (East Village, Union Square) and Bagel World (Park Slope, Fort Greene) are brothers?! A passion for bagels & hospitality definitely runs in the family!
