Join us the evening before Yom Kippur for a special bagel-making class, and bring home the very bagels you’ll break your fast with. Rooted in Jewish tradition, this hands-on experience offers a chance to craft your own bagels while connecting with a like-minded community, making your post-fast meal even more meaningful.

  • None at all! Whether you're a seasoned baker or new to the kitchen, our expert instructors will guide you through the process, ensuring everyone leaves with delicious bagels and memories.

  • Yes, children are welcome! The experience is designed to be family-friendly, though young participants should be supervised throughout the process.

  • Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm! We provide all the necessary ingredients and equipment. If you wish, you can bring an apron or wear comfortable clothing.

  • We strive to meet various dietary needs, but please let us know in advance. While we can adjust some recipes, cross-contamination might be possible due to the shared kitchen space.

  • Book worry free! You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before the start of the class.

  • Bagel Market is conveniently located near the Times Square Subway Station, serviced by multiple subway lines: A, C, E, N, Q, R, S, W, 1, 2, 3, and 7.

    It's right across from Port Authority and just a few blocks away from Penn Station.

Meet Your Instructors

  • Reva Castillenti

    Reva started her career as a sculptor, but eventually found her true passion in the art of bread-baking. She spent years perfecting her craft, sourcing native and heritage flours for her baguettes and bagels, and teaching others the art of bread-making. Reva's bagels won second place at the World Bread Awards in both 2018 and 2019, and her expertise has been sought after by home bakers and professionals alike.

  • Sam Silverman

    Sam is the brains behind NYC Bagel Tours. Since 2017, he's delved deep into the bagel world, earning him the title of New York's "Bagel Ambassador." Recognized as one of Brooklyn’s 50 Most Fascinating People by Brooklyn Magazine in 2023 for his flagship event, the New York BagelFest, his bagel knowledge is unparalleled. Sam’s favorite bagel? An everything bagel with scallion cream cheese - not toasted, of course.

  • Aidan Everly

    Starting his New York journey at Pace University's Financial District, Aidan blends his BFA in Acting with a passion for bagels - as perfect a match as bagels and cream cheese. Now, he's excited to share the rich history of bagels with you. He has a soft spot for cinnamon raisin bagels topped with honey walnut cream cheese.
